New Video! Building Skills for Equity and Engagement in Planning

25 Nov 2014

This new video tells the story about how community organizations worked with PVPC to improve their skills and capacity for better equity and engagement in planning processes in our region. Participants decided what issues were most important to their communities--housing, transportation and education--and then worked together to learn new skills and put them in practice. The work was part of the Sustainable Knowledge Corridor Project, a multi-year effort by PVPC in collaboration with the Hartford Capitol Region Council of Governments and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

You can read about PVPC's equity and engagement work in this new 2014 report, Sustainability + Equity, which also has resource guides for getting involved in your community.
