The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) will convene a Freight Focus Group on Thursday, November 20, 2014 to obtain feedback for use in the development of the update to the Regional Transportation Plan for the Pioneer Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (RTP).  This focus group will meet from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the PVPC.  We would like to invite you or a member from your staff to participate in this focus group comprised of professional staff representing communities across the Pioneer Valley region.  Light snacks will be provided.

Participants in the focus group will be asked to provide input on the future freight needs of the region as well as the identification of the strategies that can best address these needs.  In addition, information will be collected on the preferred strategies and improvements necessary to ensure a safe and efficient regional transportation system.
