This year's Food Day celebration at the State House will feature the release of the Massachusetts Food System Plan for public comment. The plan presents hundreds of recommendations gathered throughout the Commonwealth for strengthening the state's local food system through increased economic activity and jobs in food; better protection for the land and water resources needed to produce food; reduced food insecurity; and better public health. The full plan, as well as a summary, will be posted at the Mass. Food System Plan website. Comments received by November 6 will be included in the plan when it is submitted to the Massachusetts Food Policy Council on December 4.
