The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) and the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) invite local officials and board members to a workshop on Chapter 40B, the Comprehensive Permit law.
The workshop will be held on Monday, Sept. 19 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz Street, Northampton, MA 01060.
Led by Ezra Glenn AICP, principal of the planning and consulting organization PPRI, the workshop will provide an overview of the 40B statute and review the roles and responsibilities of the zoning board of appeals (ZBA) and other municipal boards.
The workshop is geared toward municipal board members, particularly zoning, planning, health and conservation commissions. Municipal staff and other local appointed and elected officials are also encouraged to attend.
This event is free but space is limited. Registration will close on Monday, Sept. 12. A light dinner will be served. Priority will be given to municipal officials and preregistration is highly recommended.
Parking note: There is a parking lot to the rear of the Senior Center at the corner of Fruit and Smith Street.
