The Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the Vermont Agency of Transportation are leading a regional intercity rail study known as the Northern New England Intercity Rail Initiative (NNEIRI). A public meeting to describe the rail study conducted on the proposed 470 mile rail corridor that connects New England, New York and Quebec is scheduled for Wednesday September 16, 2016.
