Interim Town Administrator/Manager Services

The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) offers Interim Town Administrator/Manager services in support of our regions Selectboards who experinece turnover in these positions. The PVPC offers a personalized service approach to help towns 'gap-fill' to meet short-term needs and also provide support for longer-term objectives. Services include but are not limited to:

  • Work with Selectboard to establish Goals, Objectives, and Strategies.
  • Keep the Selectboard informed of all important matters involving the town and make reports and recommendations to the Selectboard as it so directs or as deemed advisable.
  • Attend meetings of the Selectboard, preparing and providing supporting documents and information pertinent to agenda items.
  • Assist the town achieve solutions for cross-departmental practices to handle its municipal finance needs in the area of Accounting, Treasurer, and Tax Collector.
  • Assess the different municipal functions and identfy opportunities for effeciency and economies-of-scale.
  • Position the town to apply for community compact best practice resources to support town priorities.
  • Coordinate and execute new and/or existing grants and other municipal projects on behalf of the Selectboard that support goals, objectives, and strategies.
  • Collaborate with personnel and municipal committee volunteers as-needed.
  • Assist the town through its search process for a permanent Town Administrator/Manager
