TIP Sub-committee Meeting

PVPC is starting the development process for the 2018 to 2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  The TIP is a five-year fiscally constrained schedule of priority highway, bridge, transit, and multimodal projects identified by year and location complete with funding source and cost.  Each year PVPC kicks off TIP development by requesting each municipality with approved MassDOT projects update the corresponding Transportation Evaluation Criteria (TEC) form.  The purpose of this mailing is to inform the Chief Elected official, as well as the Joint Transportation Committee (JTC) member and alternate of the start of the process and the estimated timeline for TIP development.

Every year the TIP Sub-committee meets to review the TEC form for every project eligible for TIP consideration.  PVPC staff will be emailing the TEC forms to JTC members starting on January 13, 2017.  All updated TEC forms must be received by email amccaul@pvpc.org no later than February 24, 2017.

The TIP Sub-Committee meeting for will be held on March 1, 2017 @ 9am at PVPC; we will need your TEC response no later than February 24, 2017.  The PVPC encourages members to attend the TIP Sub-Committee meeting in order to provide firsthand knowledge of projects in your community.  Any projects that we do not receive an update for will be considered unchanged, and will not be re-scored.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission by email or at (413) 781-6045 with any questions.
