PVPC helped the City of Easthampton update its 2013 Open Space and Recreation Plan. Members of the public and interested residents participated in the planning process through an online survey and two virtual Public Visioning Sessions where they shared their ideas about Easthampton's open space and recreation goals and objectives for implementation.
The purpose of this planning effort was to develop an updated Easthampton Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP), which will be valid for teh next 7 years. Adopting an updated OSRP maintains the City's eligibility for numerous state, federal, and private foundation grant opportunities for park and conservation projects. Therefore, public comment was critically important to developing a plan that meets the needs of Easthampton residents.
The OSRP update was developed with funding from Easthampton’s Community Preservation Act Committee.
