SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A high speed train connecting Springfield to several major cities, including Canada could soon be in the works.

Transportation officials in Massachusetts have been studying the impact of the proposed Northern New England Intercity Rail Initiative for years. On Wednesday, Congressman Richard Neal was in Springfield to discuss the findings of the $700,000 study.
