Pioneer Valley Planning Commission Seeks Land Use Planning Assistance/On-Call Planner

The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) invites proposal submissions for immediate Land Use Planning assistance/on-call planner, a consultant that can assist with land use and environmental planning projects over the next three (3) years.  First year work is funded through several grant sources with an estimated value of all tasks at $75,000 by 6/30/21.  Consultant(s) will be assigned work from PVPC based on need and physically report to the PVPC at a minimum of once per month.  Anticipated areas of work are:
 

  1. Innovative public engagement activities for land use and environmental planning efforts, including Master Planning, Open Space and Recreation Planning, and Hazard Mitigation planning

  2. Chapter development of Master/Comprehensive Plans, Open Space and Recreation Plans, Hazard Mitigation Plans and Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Statement of Findings Reports, including research and writing, and conceptual designs for Village/Town center(s) and/or neighborhood planning

  3. Updates and development of municipal code, including but not limited to stormwater bylaws, zoning bylaws and subdivision regulations based on Low Impact Development and climate resiliency best practices
