Pioneer Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization Public Meeting Scheduled

13 Oct 2015

Members of the public are invited to participate in an evaluation of the transportation planning process in the Springfield, Massachusetts region.

Every four years, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) are required by law to review the metropolitan transportation planning process conducted by the Pioneer Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and its partners in order to certify that they are carrying out the process in accordance with all applicable federal requirements.

As part of this review, the federal agencies would like to hear from members of the public on their views of how the metropolitan transportation planning process is conducted in the Springfield region. The FHWA and FTA are particularly interested in hearing from people who have participated in some aspect of the Pioneer Valley MPO’s work.

The public meeting will be held Thursday, October 29, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, 60 Congress Street in Springfield. The meeting will take place in the second floor large conference room.
