PVPC worked with the Town of South Hadley to develop a Comprehensive Plan for Walking/Bicycle Routes and Hiking Trails in South Hadley. The Plan will shape long-term improvements to the Town's sidewalks, bike routes, bike paths, and hiking trails.
The South Hadley Comprehensive Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is complete. The report charts a plan for short- and long-term improvements to South Hadley's hiking, biking and walking networks.
For one morning in June, 2016, Northampton transformed a section of its Main Street with spray chalk, traffic barrels, potted plants, and tables and chairs. The event was a real-world quick and cheap test of concepts for redesigning the street.
A draft of the final report for the South Hadley Comprehensive Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is available for review.
PVPC worked with the City of Holyoke to develop a bike network plan for the City's streets. The plan is currently in draft format and is being reviewed by city staff and the Holyoke bicycle and pedestrian committee. Download the plan below.

PVPC and the City of Northampton have teamed up to create the most inclusive public engagement process possible as the community continues to develop its citywide bike-pedestrian master plan - including Wednesday night's public forum at the First Churches of Northampton.
