State of the Region Conference for Knowledge Corridor
The Hartford-Springfield Economic Partnership (HSEP) will host the sixth annual State of the Region conference Friday, May 18, 7:45 a.m. at Asnuntuck Community College, 170 Elm Street, Enfield, Connecticut.
The conference will highlight important interstate topics, including:
How to make Bradley International a best-in-class, globally competitive airport
Results of the first-ever CBIA/HSEP interstate business survey
Updates on regional business marketing and workforce efforts
Rollout of the new InternHere.com website
Keynote speaker will be Steve Van Beek, former associate deputy secretary and director of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Intermodalism and current director of Jacobs Consultancy Transport Practice in Washington, DC.
The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission is a founding member of HSEP, an interstate collaborative of regional economic development, planning, business, tourism, and educational institutions with a shared interest in forwarding the region’s economic progress. Formed in 2000, HSEP markets the region as New England’s Knowledge Corridor, acknowledging the area’s rich history of innovation, invention, and world-class educational assets.
