“Over the past several months, the Master Plan Committee has been busy developing Vision and Mission Statements, Goals, and Strategies for their respective chapter, as well as prioritizing the strategies within each chapter. The purpose of setting priorities is to help the future Implementation Committee, as well as the City Council, understand which of the 200+ strategies that have been identified in the plan should be considered for implementation first. After prioritizing the strategies within each chapter, the Committee took the next step to identify the Top Strategies for the entire plan. The Committee used the Strategy Selection Criteria to help guide the selection process for the Top Strategies. The Top Strategies were preliminarily identified at Master Plan Committee meeting on December 12, 2007. The Executive Committee will review the results, apply the Selection Criteria for “tiebreakers”, and a final list of the Top Strategies will be available in mid-January 2008.”
