PVPC Seeking a Senior Planner

The Pioneer Valley Planing Commission, a regional planning agency seeks to hire either a Senior Planner or Planner to work in its Community Development Section.  Desired qualifications include previous related experience; strong writing and verbal communication skills; knowledge of state/federal programs; strong organizational skills; and demonstrated experience in community development, municipal government, and grant writing.  Minimum qualifications are as follows:

Planner - 2 years professional work experience and a bachelor’s degree in regional planning or related discipline (master’s preferred).  Starting salary $40,000 to $45,000 with benefits, depending on qualifications and experience.

Senior Planner - 5 years professional work experience and a bachelor’s degree in regional planning or related discipline (master’s preferred).  Starting salary $46,000 to $58,000 with benefits, depending on qualifications and experience.
