Health Regulatory Reviews

12 Jul 2016

In 2015, PVPC conducted health-based regulatory reviews for three Massachusetts communities: Belchertown, Greenfield, and Weymouth. We undertook a comprehensive review to compare each community's plans, policies and regulations to the recommendations in the Healthy Community Design Toolkit. We then worked with stakeholders from the communities to identify which of the dozens of recommended reforms would be most feasible and most impactful for facilitating active living and healthy food access.

Final project documents can be downloaded below in .zip format.

This work was funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and supported by funds made available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support, under B01OT009024. The conclusions of the reports are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official position of or endorsement by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
