The Hadley Planning Board is in the process of updating the town’s Master Plan, a process dependent in large part upon the input it receives from Hadley residents. As part of this effort, the Board is asking residents to offer their opinions by participating in a community survey.
“Hadley’s Master Plan, completed in 2005, is now 10 years old, and the town has changed a lot over the past decade,” explained Planning Board Chair Jim Maksimoski. “We want input and we encourage residents to focus on the qualities of our town that they value now and consider how, or if, they want our community to change over the next 10 to 20 years.”
The survey, which takes about five to 10 minutes to complete, is available online at http://www.hadleyma.org or https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HadleyMasterPlan2015. Copies are also available for pick-up and drop-off at the Selectmen’s Office, Hadley Library, and Hadley Senior Center, or can be mailed to the Planning Board at Town Hall, 100 Middle Street, Hadley, MA 01035 by August 28, 2015.
The results of the survey will be presented at a public forum to be held in the fall, at which residents will be given further opportunity to participate in this planning process. The Planning Board is being assisted in this Master Plan update by the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission with partial funding assistance through the state’s Department of Housing and Community Development Direct Local Technical Assistance program.
