Encouraging Bicycling In the Pioneer Valley
The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission is committed to making bicycling an integral element of our region's transportation system. Just as we work to assure that bicyclists are welcome and safe on all roads, to assure a network of off-road bicycle paths, to facilitate bicycling via bike parking and bikes on buses, we also work to encourage bicycling through our regional Bike Commute Week program which is a 10 year collaboration of the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and MassBike , our state's bicycle advocacy organization.
